RYAN HAMNER

Confident, seductive crooner. Witty pop songsmith. Introspective folk troubadour. Those are just a few of the many looks that Columbus, GA-based workaholic Ryan Hamner offered on his self-titled debut EP, released on Jackyl frontman Jesse James Dupree’s Mighty Loud label in October 2008. Produced by modern rock production heavy Jeff Tomei (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox Twenty), they are currently recording a new album, out later this summer 09.

The Columbus, GA native’s music is the product of a life full of professional highs and lows. Hamner left a comfortable but unfulfilling IT gig to pursue his rock n’ roll dreams full time, and has crafted a wealth of heartfelt, largely acoustic pop songs. A lifelong Hodgkins lymphoma survivor, Ryan also penned the inspirational children’s book, You’ll Be All Right, Buddy.
